Ahmad Lawan, the President of the Nigerian Senate, declared that ministries, departments,

and state entities would begin defending the 2021 budget next Tuesday.

Lawan made this declaration on his twitter account on Friday and announced that the

Senate would postpone its two-week plenary conference to defend the budget.

“The parliament will from Tuesday next week commence defence of the 2021 budget estimates

by Ministries, Departments and Agencies of Government and therefore will be suspending plenary for two weeks,” Lawan tweeted.

It was revealed by the Press-Men last week that the budget proposal for 2021 was

submitted to the Nigerian Senate by President Muhammadu Buhari.

After the submitting  the budget, Lawan assured President Buhari that the budget will be ratified before the end of 2020.
